A hop bet is a bet on the next roll will be a particular combination of the dices. For example a bet on a 2-2 is called a hopping hardway. You can bet on a 5+2 - 2-2 - 3+3 - 4+4 or 5+5. If you win such a bet you will be paid the same as a one roll 2. Other hop bets are paid the same as a one roll 11.
